A simple way to start
- Choose a texture. Try pink noise for a softer hiss or a fan for a familiar hum. Use the noise-color comparison to hear the differences.
- Start quiet. Begin with your device volume low. Raise it only enough to make unwanted background sounds less noticeable.
- Adjust and leave it. Each player has volume and timer controls. If the sound feels sharp, heavy or distracting, lower it or try another texture.
Phone browsers may pause when the screen locks. Binaural beats require stereo headphones for the intended effect. Choose by comfort; these sounds do not promise a sleep or focus outcome.
About these free players
Built by Colin Hanson, creator of Veil. Each player generates audio on your device using the browser's Web Audio API. There is no recording to stream or audio file to download.
The browser players are free independently of the optional Veil app. The app has separate free and Premium features, with offline listening, background playback and lock-screen controls.
